What do you say to yourself when you wake up in the morning? For me, every morning can be different, but I always make sure to start the day with a simple 5-minute exercise that helps to set my perspective and begin the day feeling great. What is it? It’s the Attitude of Gratitude. It may sound cheesy, but when you feel grateful, it’s easy to feel happy and positive and much harder to feel negative and down. So start your day with these 4 questions:

1. What am I grateful for in my life right now?
2. What could I be grateful for?
3. What about it makes me so grateful?
4. How does that make me feel?

Everyday, whether it’s big or small, work on creating a clearer picture of the things that are most grateful to you. Make those images bigger, brighter and louder! Practice this for at least a week and see how it makes you feel. Hopefully it will become a habit and help give you more of a positive focus in your life.
